Main requirement uses the lowest listed possible-admission band where available. For Science, FPS is calculated out of 800. For Science FPS, Mathematics and Physical Sciences scores are doubled. WPS is the Weighted Points Score and applies to South African applicants only. NBTs in Mathematics, Academic Literacy and Quantitative Literacy must be written, but the results are not taken into account for admission to the Science Faculty. Acceptance into the Science Faculty does not guarantee acceptance into a chosen major because some majors have limited places. If Physical Science or Information Technology was not completed at school-leaving level, choice of majors is restricted to Archaeology and Environmental & Geographical Science. For majors in Computer Science and Business Computing, the Physical Science requirement may be replaced by Information Technology only where Physical Science was not taken. Eligible applicant group: South African applicants in targeted redress categories. Admission band used: Band C. Admission outcome: Possible admission. Score requirement: FPS of 550 or above. Notes: NBTs in Mathematics, Academic Literacy and Quantitative Literacy must be written, but NBT results are not taken into account for admission to the Science Faculty.; Probable admission: WPS of 640 or above.; Guaranteed admission: FPS of 660 or above..
