  • South African citizen from a previously disadvantaged background
  • Present or past Grade 12 learner from designated schools in the Sishen Solar Facility operating area
  • Priority for 2026 Matriculants, with previous years also considered
  • Academic excellence based on preliminary Grade 12 results
  • Financial need
  • Private tertiary institutions are not funded

Grade 12 marks Academic

Latest Grade 12 marks are accepted when Matric is not complete.

Grade 11 marks Academic

Grade 11 final marks may support current Matric applications.

Family IDs

Certified ID copies for parents, legal guardian, or spouse, if financial need applies.

Proof of income

Payslips, employment letters, or retrenchment letters for parents or guardians. Not needed for SASSA grant recipients.

Special case documents

Disability Annexure A or Vulnerable Child Declaration, if applicable.
