Coverage value
Tuition fees for the full duration up to Honours level, accommodation in university residence and meals where applicable, paid vacation work, mentorship and graduate programme entry.
Service contract
Recipients must join the Valterra Platinum graduate programme after graduation and rotate across Valterra Platinum mines.

Eligibility

  • Geotechnical applicants must study full-time towards mining or geology and be final-year undergraduate students in 2026 and prospective Honours students in 2027
  • Geomatics applicants may be current Matric learners entering first year in 2027 or final-year undergraduate students becoming prospective Honours students in 2027
  • Mining Engineering applicants must study full-time towards BSc or BEng Mining Engineering and be final-year undergraduate students in 2026 and prospective Honours students in 2027
  • Minimum 65% overall average in most recent results
  • Studying at a recognised and accredited South African university
  • Preference for learners from communities around Valterra Platinum operations
