Coverage value
R200 000 scholarship value, with possible international student fee, travel grant, equipment grant, home travel grant, repatriation fee, emergency medical insurance and assistive technology support.

Eligibility

  • South African citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia or Zambia
  • Completed or currently pursuing an eligible BSc Honours or four-year BEng degree route
  • Minimum 65% average for the eligible Honours degree or final year of BEng degree
  • Selected a SARAO-approved Masters research project for 2027
  • Uploads a signed supervisor letter confirming supervision

SARAO Masters applicants need 65% average in the eligible Honours degree or final year of BEng.
