Eligibility

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying towards a BSc or BEng in one of the listed fields
  • Studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Completed first year of study
  • Entering 2nd year, or 2nd/3rd year for Mining Engineering
  • Minimum overall average of 65%
  • No failed subjects
  • Previously disadvantaged and financially disadvantaged

Latest Grade 12 marks are accepted when Matric is not complete.

Grade 11 marks Academic

Grade 11 final marks may support current Matric applications.

Family IDs

Certified ID copies for parents, legal guardian, or spouse, if financial need applies.

Proof of income

Payslips, employment letters, or retrenchment letters for parents or guardians. Not needed for SASSA grant recipients.
