Partial bursary for study-related expenses. Value depends on student need and the Council of the Federation decision.
Service contract
Recipients must present to their SARF local branch, submit study progress reports every six months and enrol as associate members of SARF.

Eligibility

  • Preference for South African residents, though SADC country members may apply
  • Studying towards a qualification in a road transport field
  • Studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Application endorsed by the correct academic authority
  • National Diploma students must have passed first semester exams
  • Degree students must have passed first year exams
  • Preference for advanced levels such as MTech, MSc or higher, though undergraduates may apply
  • Preference for full-time students, though part-time and distance learning students may apply
  • Intends to work in the South African road transport industry after graduation

Proof of income

Payslips, employment letters, or retrenchment letters for parents or guardians. Not needed for SASSA grant recipients.
