Eligibility

  • South African citizen
  • Currently in Matric or has completed Matric
  • Studying or intending to study towards a first undergraduate or Honours degree or diploma in 2027 focused on STEM and green economy skills
  • Studying or accepted to study full-time at a recognised and accredited public university or university of technology in South Africa
  • Strong academic record
  • Passed Mathematics in Matric, not Mathematical Literacy
  • Minimum overall average of 65% for the 2026 academic year
  • Minimum overall average of 65% for subjects aligned to the university qualification
  • Proven financial need
  • Parent or legal guardian consent, if under 18
