Funding details

Fields covered
Undergraduate Commerce-related degrees, with preference for Data Analysis, IT, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Computer Engineering streams.
Coverage value
Final funding details are confirmed in the bursary award or pledge letter.
Service contract
After graduation, recipients must work one year for each year of funding received.
Renewal
Renewable each year based on academic performance, student engagement and sponsor budgets.

Eligibility

  • South African citizen
  • Currently in Matric or has completed Matric
  • Studying or intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate Commerce-related degree
  • Studying or applied to study at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa
  • Excellent academic record
  • Current Matric students need at least 75% overall
  • Current university students need at least 70% overall
  • Strong leadership potential
  • Preference for previously disadvantaged backgrounds and students in 2nd year onwards

Overall average 70% average

University applicants need 70% overall; Matric applicants need 75% overall.
