Funding details

Fields covered: Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Physics and Astronomy or Astrophysics, Physics and Electronics, and Physics and Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
Coverage value: R183 000 scholarship value plus a once-off laptop grant of R13 000.
Renewal: Funding duration depends on the degree and year of study, from one year for final-year students to the full undergraduate degree period for first-year students.

South African citizen or permanent resident
Currently in Matric or has completed Matric
Studying or intending to study one of the listed undergraduate qualifications
Engineering applicants need 70% for Mathematics in Matric or 65% overall at undergraduate level
Science applicants need 70% for Mathematics and Physical Sciences in Matric or 65% overall at undergraduate level
Studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
