Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Forestry and Wood Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering.
Coverage value
May cover tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation and a living allowance, depending on household income.
Service contract
Recipients may complete vacation work during July and December holidays and may enter the Sappi Engineer-in-Training programme after successful completion.

Eligibility

  • South African citizen
  • Between 17 and 25 years old
  • Currently in Matric or has completed Matric
  • Studying or intending to study full-time towards an eligible qualification in 2027
  • Studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited South African university
  • Meets the listed Mathematics, Physical Science and English thresholds
  • Preference for students living near Sappi main business operations

Academic requirements

Mathematics 70% Physical Sciences 70% English Home Language 60% English First Additional Language 60%

Mathematics, not Mathematical Literacy.
