Funding details

Fields covered: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Forestry and Wood Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering.
Coverage value: May cover tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation and a living allowance, depending on household income.
Service contract: Recipients may complete vacation work during July and December holidays and may enter the Sappi Engineer-in-Training programme after successful completion.

South African citizen
Between 17 and 25 years old
Currently in Matric or has completed Matric
Studying or intending to study full-time towards an eligible qualification in 2027
Studying or intending to study at a recognised and accredited South African university
Meets the listed Mathematics, Physical Science and English thresholds
Preference for students living near Sappi main business operations
